Privacy policy

The free tool works without an account. Using it and reading your full plan on screen never requires an email or any personal detail. You only give us an email if you choose to have your plan emailed to you (see "What we do collect").

Your strategy is built in your browser, and your sale value never leaves it. The PDF is generated on your device; we only receive it if you ask us to email it to you.

Standard hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) automatically records basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages requested when the site loads. This is standard for virtually every website and is used for security and reliability, not profiling.

Anonymous usage records. When you generate a strategy or download a PDF, we record the business type, budget band and market you chose, plus which action you took, and your approximate country (determined at our edge network from the connection, used only as a two-letter country code — we never store your IP address in these records). This helps us see which industries, markets and countries people need the tool in most. These records carry no name or email and are not linked to you or to each other; they cannot identify you.

Anonymous usage analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics (Google Analytics) to understand how many people visit and which pages they view. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.

Your email, only if you ask us to email your plan. When you choose "Email me my plan", we store the email address you enter to send you the PDF and, occasionally, to contact you about MarketMap. Alongside it we keep the details you entered for that plan (business type, budget, market and any sale value), your browser and device type, and your approximate country (a two-letter country code determined at our edge network — not your IP address), so any follow-up is relevant to you. It is optional and never required to use the tool or read your plan, and it is processed by our email provider (Resend) purely to deliver the message. Reply to any email, or contact us at the address below, to unsubscribe or have your data deleted. We do not track or profile anonymous visitors, and never link anonymous activity to an identity.

The free tool does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we introduce accounts or paid features in the future, we will use only the cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in, and this policy will be updated before that happens.

The site is hosted on Vercel and loads the Geist font family from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these resources, those providers receive your IP address as part of the normal operation of the web. Their privacy policies govern that processing.

When you request a Pro research report, the business type, location, budget and any notes you enter are sent to our server and to an AI research provider to generate the report. Enter only the business details needed for research; do not include sensitive personal information in report inputs. Report inputs are used to generate your report and for abuse prevention, not for advertising.

When paid checkout launches, payments will be handled by a payment provider acting as merchant of record. They, not we, collect and store your card details; we receive only what is needed to deliver your purchase (such as your email address and which pack you bought). Account sign-in, when introduced, will be handled by a dedicated authentication provider under the same principle: we hold the minimum needed to run your account.

Because we do not hold personal data about free-tier users, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold data about you, or you have any privacy question, contact us at the email below and we will respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (European Union) or CCPA (California), including the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data.

MarketMap AI is a business planning tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Meaningful changes, such as those tied to new paid features, will be highlighted on the site before they take effect.
